Welcome from the Headmaster:
Dear Parents:
Welcome to First Baptist Academy of Jacksonville: a God-honoring, Bible-centered, college preparatory school of excellence located in downtown Jacksonville.
FBA is a dynamic 21st Century school whose staff cultivates the hearts, minds, and bodies by emphasizing not only what our students learn, but who they become in Christ.
Our Bible-centered education program is the foundation for every facet of student life. All subjects are taught with a Christian worldview, integrating Biblical truth and principles. We use a college preparatory curriculum that prepares students to excel in all areas.
Our students are learning 21st Century skills as teachers integrate these into all subject areas. Using the newest technology, classrooms are equipped to engage students in their learning. The curriculum promotes interactive learning, problem solving, and critical thinking skills which extend beyond the classroom experience. In addition to the core academic classes, students participate in daily Bible study and weekly chapel. All students are involved in daily physical fitness activities. Our resource classes include art, vocal and instrumental music, computer, library, and foreign language exploration. Opportunities for Christian leadership and service include Safety Patrols and Student Government.
Our school is housed in a modern state-of-the-art facility that includes classrooms, a computer lab, playground, gymnasium, and a theater. In addition, the First Baptist Church dining staff prepares and serves lunch to our students in their very own section of the dining room.
Thank you for considering First Baptist Academy for your child’s education. We pray that you and your child will partner with us. We seek to holistically reach and teach our students to become Christian leaders of tomorrow…today…one family at a time.
Blessings,
Marlene Anderson
Headmaster
